London three piece Is Tropical are set to release their new single South Pacific, the first for their new label Kitsune, on the 8th of November 2010.
South Pacific, the follow up to When O’ When, comes backed with Tan Man and is released on seven inch single and available to download with remixes.
The new single is only Is Tropical’s second release and is a taste of what to expect from the band’s debut album, which is due on Kitsune/CO-OP early next year.
Formed last year, the Is Tropical line up of Gary Barber (Vocals / Guitar / keys), Simon Milner (Vocals / Guitars / Keys) and Dominic Apa (Drums & Programming) have developed a country wide reputation for their stunning live shows.
Taking to the stage in their trademark masks, and cloaked by self-made video projections, they improvise constantly changing soundscapes, effortlessly swooping from raw pop anthems to lo-fi dance songs with fantastic results.
Is Tropical are heading off on a UK Tour with Mystery Jets in November and they return to London for a performance at a special Kitsuné Maison Party at Village Underground on the 19th of November 2010.
