Rap legend Ghostface Killah of hip-hop supergroup Wu-Tang Clan is set to hit Liverpool’s Kazimier tonight.
Ghostface aka Tony Starks rose to prominence in the early 90’s with fellow East Coast rappers RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard known collectively as The Wu-Tang Clan.
Now 42, Ghost is critically acclaimed as one of the greatest MC’s of all time.
With aggressive multi-syllabic flows Killah hits his audience with bars like: “Legendary remedy ’til it’s medical, get it? Magnetic and be the most incredible with it, more than legend but riddich, mosh pit lyrically, Godsent to the point see the cynical image.”
The “All That I Got Is You” rapper will showcase his colourful story telling talents at one of Liverpool’s proudest music venues.
The New Yorker, who boasts a scar on his neck after being shot will be bringing classics of his newest album “12 Reasons to Die”.
Killah is lauded for his emotional stream-of-consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang but also for the moral undertones in many of his raps including portraying the plights of single mothers.
His serpentine storytelling is the benchmark for many rappers and he looks set to impress crowds with it once again.
There are just a few tickets left, so make sure you get down and witness a rare treat for Liverpool hip hop heads.
