Taken from her latest EP U.G.L.Y, which follows the theme of Perry’s own evolution as an artist, Free is a project that is an honest reflection of the times we live in today.
A calm and reflective track that has received stunning reviews from fans as a track that has inspired them to adapt their own sense of self-love and some have gone as far as to say Free has ‘saved’ them.
Raised in Houston TX, the New York born singer is known for her soulful mix of R&B and pop. Perri showed an interest in music from the age of 8, playing the xylophone, drums, recorder and piano.
By the age of 11, Perri had ventured into public speaking, receiving 1st place in the national Martin Luther King Oratorical Competition representing Houston as one of the top speakers in the country and while travelling nationally reciting her original speech she discovered her passion for public performance and music.
Developing her sense of style over time, Perri caught the attention of hip-hop artist Loaded Lux and featured on the song ‘Gravy’ last summer to much acclaim, a blending of old school hip-hop and Perri’s own southern soulful spin and has now become a firm favourite on the DJ circuit.
U.G.L.Y was released in May 2019 and accumulated more than 300,000 on Spotify within the first week, with Free now following closely behind and has become the artists testament to self expression to the ever changing world and the advancement to her own personal goals as a business woman, artist and a dedicated student of life as she continues to work forward.
