Having performed at the Notting Hill Carnival and shared the stage with Kele le Roc, No-El DaCosta has released his new single Do We Wanna Do This (feat. Arrianny Escalona).
Described as having a smooth and silky voice with influences of early Motown stars such as Luther Vandross and Michael Jackson, there’s a freshness in the sound, all the while retaining the integrity of the classics.
Opening with the slickest beats, it draws you in to a heady mix of something to dance to, and something to chill to all at once.
The introduction of Venezuelan singer-songwriter Arrianny Escalona gives the song a beautiful conversational tone which caps it completely.
The British born singer released his first EP The Soul Man From The Endz, independently in 2015 and over the years has been headhunted to compose and sing a variety of radio jingles and graced the stages of many festivals up and down the UK.
His passion for music is easily discernible one first listen and there’s a sense of giving-it-all throughout this latest track.
He has a platform for self expression and his lyrics are drawn from his own life, singing of live and sorrow but also of deeper and worldly social issues such as injustice.
The versatility of his vocals enable him to capture any genre and make them his own and his love of performance and his adaptability has seen him work as a lead singer for several bands such as The Portugal Beat Company, a seven piece band that specialised in live ‘House Music’.
Collectively they played at venues which include Dust Bar, Turnmills, Woody’s and Ministry Of Sound.
At present he is working behind the scenes on a special project that is forecast to be unleashed to the public very soon.
