Taking centre ground between The Killers and Kings Of Leon, Airport Impressions are hailed as one of the most successful bands to emerge from Malta, and have now released their single Faith.
A melodic rock track that’s energetic and guitar heavy but jaunty enough for pop enthusiasts to appreciate too. With more than a hint of Brandon Flowers dulcet tones and charismatic flare thrown in for good measure.
Inspired by pop, rock and folk sounds, Faith is an uplifting, passionate song that gives it’s all with a powerful anthemic feel.
Formed in 2008, Airport Impressions have built a reputation for engaging crowds everywhere with their vibrant act and with two albums under their belt their popularity is growing fast.
Producing their first EP Seeing with Eyes Closed, (2008) they went on to release their first studio album Minutes Of A Lifetime (2010) and just four short years later, the band released Mariette.
Stand out tracks from these albums include Borderline, Hymns Of June, Berlin and an uplifting track Walk With Me.
Winners of the MTV Battle Of The Bands, they are are just as at home playing to an audience of 100 as to an audience 50,000, clocking up a string of awards in the process including best band at the BMA for three years, along with best album, best songs and presenters choice award.
Other international awards include best adult alternative category with ‘Berlin’ from their 2014 album Mariette.
Constantly exploring new sounds and at the same time ensuring their passion and energy remains evident in their live performances.
The band are due to play at Valletta, Upper Barrakka Gardens Delicata Wine Festival, August 8th.
