The sun beat down, the cider flowed and the first of the two best Rock n Roll shows the UK will see this year came to Milton Keynes Bowl. Purple Revolver couldn’t miss this.

The first night of the Foo Fighters show boasted support slots from Tame Impala, Death Cab for Cutie, and our faves, Biffy Clyro who rocked out as though their lives depended on it.

By the time Dave Grohl and his crew hit the mammoth stage the euphoria and excitement among the 70,000 strong crowd was palpable. Add to the mix special guest slots from Alice Cooper, Bob Mould and Roger Taylor and you have a night to remember.

Tonight’s bill includes The Hot Rats, Jimmy Eat World as well as Biffy Clyro once more, before the mighty Foos take to the stage.

Our reviewer will be there soaking up all the action and we’ll be bringing you a full review and pictures straight after the show – so stay tuned.

In the meantime, here’s a little teaser gallery of Saturday’s warm up bands.
