Arthur Darvill has released his own parody version of ‘Let it Go’ from the Disney movie ‘Frozen’ using Doctor Who Lyrics and the result is a must see video.
Darvill collaborated with BBC Radio 1 where, through the medium of song, pleaded with fans not just to think of him as “just a bloke riding in a T.A.R.D.I.S”.
The challenge was handed to him by DJ Matt Edmonson, who told the actor that he had to sing in the same key as Idina Menzel, which proved to be difficult as it resulted in sounding: “screechy in some parts”.
The Doctor Who actor has moved on since his run in Doctor who from 2010-2012 as the 11th companion to Doctor Matt Smith and he’s now begging fans to do the same, in his humorous lyrics he asks for people just to Google him and realise he’s now a west end actor in “Once” and he’s played other major roles in plays such as “Swimming with Sharks” and “Terre Haute”
The star belts out the verse:
“Let it go, let it go, I’m not in Doctor Who anymore,
Let it go, let it go, because now I’m treading the boards,
I am in a West End play,
It’s called Once and tickets are available every day.”
So he’s no longer Rory Williams, he is Arthur Davill and he has something to say.
