Crystal Castles are hoping to follow on from the success of their first single Celestica with their new offering Baptism from their second eponymous album.
Over their short career Ethan Kath and Alice Glass have achieved cult status for electronic enthusiasts across the globe, clocking up a staggering 50 million plays on MySpace and Lastfm and continually topping Hype Machine’s “Most Blogged” chart.
Their new album has garnered much praise across the board and the first single Celestica reached the top of Pitchforks Best New Music and quickly became a Radio 1 playlisted record.
Baptism is the follow up and is sure to surpass the achievements of its predecessor considering it has already become Nick Grimshaw’s single of the week on Radio 1.
Baptism will be available digitally and 7” on July 26th and will backed by the much blogged Thurston Moore remix of Celestica.
A whole host of summer festivals will be kick started at Glastonbury and followed by a full UK tour in October, dates below:
