Porter Robinson will be hitting UK shores for an exclusive show in London in October as part of his “Worlds” tour.

The European leg which supports the August 11 release of his debut album ‘Worlds’, follows on from the North American tour which will see Porter manipulating multi-tracks, triggering samples, playing midi keys and using controllers to create a fully-live affair that stands in stark contrast to his previous DJ appearances and will be his only UK show of 2014.

Porter, who rose to prominence as one of the world’s most sought-after headline DJs, takes a new direction on ‘Worlds’, revealing a cinematic musical aesthetic better suited to the stage than the DJ booth.

With his creative pulse no longer hinging on BPMs, Porter will showcase his new music including Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World ‘Lionhearted (feat. Urban Cone)’, #1 Hype Machine charting ‘Sad Machine’ and ‘Sea Of Voices’ which trended #1 on Facebook upon release.

‘Worlds’, Porter’s debut album kicks off with the swelling ‘Divinity’ featuring Amy Millan of Stars which trickles into the brand new #1 HypeM single ‘Sad Machine’ (Porter’s vocal debut in a duet with a robot) which premièred via FADER for its release in May.

The album’s first single ‘Sea of Voices’ trended #1 on Twitter when it was leaked to Porter’s fans via Twitter during the Oscars earlier this year and quickly shot to #2 on the US iTunes electronic chart and #5 on HypeM, #5 on Spotify’s viral chart. It has surpassed more than 1 million Soundcloud plays to date.

Additional album highlights include the glitched-out avant centrepiece ‘Fellow Feeling’ which swells from violin-driven sentiment to industrial static, before settling into palpitating chords, and ‘Years of War’ a radiant synth pop track propelled by a fuzzy beat featuring Breanne Duren (Owl City) and Sean Caskey (Last Dinosaurs).

‘Hear the Bells’ featuring Imaginary Cities prolongs the pop euphoria and ‘Polygon Dust’ a swelling electronic pop tune featuring Norwegian duo Lemaitre.

“Zane Lowe just called it “the hottest record in the world,” and it’s certainly not hard to imagine “Lionhearted” becoming that kind of hit.” – STEREOGUM

The lead single from the album, ‘Lionhearted’is an infectious, radio-ready track that showcases Porter’s pop prowess and superior song craft.

Featuring surging vocals from Swedish indie outfit Urban Cone, ‘Lionhearted’ pushes-and-pulls between ambient sighs and power chords resulting in one of the summer’s most undeniable jams.

Check out the video for the track here in which Porter makes his acting debut in the new video. Setting forth on a fantastical and vandalous rampage, Porter leads a disruptive gang of Harajuku girls through the night, and in the wake of their destruction beautiful chaos ensues.
