Fred Perry’s Sub-Sonic Live bows out for 2013 with a final show featuring three of the most talked about new acts of the year, Clean Bandit, Gorgon City and Javeon.
Fred Perry has enjoyed a unique relationship with music and street style since the 1950’s and Sub-sonic Live brings together the most influential heritage artists and tomorrow’s trailblazers.
Previous guests have included David Rodigan MBE, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Andrew Weatherall, Afrika Bambaataa, Terry Hall, Greg Wilson, The Horrors, Factory Floor, Tom Vek and King Krule.
London’s Clean Bandit are one of the country’s most innovative live acts, an electronic / hip hop collective built around a string quartet and are one of the most exciting names in contemporary music right now.
They have released three highly acclaimed singles in ‘Mozart’s House’, ‘A+E’ and ‘Dust Clears’ and are signed to multi-award winning label Black Butter Records, home to the crossover act of the year Rudimental.
Clean Bandit are a much sought after remix collective having reworked tracks for Lana Del Rey and Rudimental and have supported Disclosure, Bastille and alt-J.
Taking to the decks for the evening will be fellow Black Butter label mates Gorgon City who have made a name for themselves with their heavy, hip swinging rhythms and butt shaking bass.
The singles ‘Real’ and ‘Intentions’ marked them out as one of the most hotly tipped new acts in the ever flourishing landscape of British club savvy pop and upcoming single ‘Ready For Love’ marries garage and deep house to mesmerising effect.
