Club Lazy Genius returns with a bang after a summer hiatus tonight (Monday Sept 12th) at its long established home, Mojo.
The free entry night continues every Monday night to the end of the year, with many of the city’s best new bands set to grace the stage, alongside the brightest up and coming talent to be found nationally.
With excellent performances from Super-Cannes, The Wild Eyes, Fonetiks, Being Jo Francis and many others, Club Lazy Genius has become a must for anyone wanting to check out the best nascent talent in the city.
The first Club Lazy Genius of the autumn season sees Badlands headline with shows in association with Liverpool Music Week taking place in November.
Next week’s fixture sees Italians The Matinee topping the bill with rising Liverpool stars Get Back Colquitt supporting.
September 26th should prove to be a huge night as students seeking respite from Freshers’ Balls foam parties and the like strongly advised to head to Mojo.
Two Wounded Birds are pencilled in to headline the night, with power trio Being Jo Francis who have turned in several excellent performances for the Club and The Skinny Boys also on the bill.
The Club Lazy Genius Halloween Party in association with Liverpool Music Week falls on All Hallow’s Eve itself, with special guests rumoured for the event which was a resounding success last year.
November’s aforementioned Liverpool Music Week brings Gardens and Villas to the Club, who share a stage with We//Are//Animal.
The month also sees Brooklyn NYC’s Widowspeak bring their compelling noise across the pond, backed by superlative Liverpool garage rockers The Wild Eyes.
The last fixture of 2011 is the Club Lazy Genius Christmas Party on December 19th.
The line-up for the festive shindig is being kept under wraps for the time being with Lazy Genius main man Tom Johnson promising the line up will be a fitting end to a massive year for Lazy Genius.
