Cage the Elephant will release their new single ‘Cry Baby’ through Columbia Records on 25th March. ‘Cry Baby’ is taken from the band’s critically-acclaimed new album ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’, which was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys & The Arcs, mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Florence + the Machine) and recorded at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, TN.
‘Cry Baby’ video was filmed by Pooneh Ghana during their recent European and UK tour and it gives a fun and intimate insight on life on the road with the band.
Following their highly praised tour in erly 2016, Cage the Elephant have confirmed they will return to the UK in the Summer to play Reading and Leeds Festival.
With ‘Tell Me I’m Pretty’ Cage the Elephant are pushing the advances they made with their last record, 2013’s ‘Melophobia’, which was nominated for a Grammy for ‘Best Alternative Album’ while also drawing from the sounds that initially inspired them to start making music. The results are the band’s most forceful and focused songs yet, a set of concise, punchy garage-pop with a feel that guitarist Brad Shultz describes as “a psychedelic John Wayne at an Iggy Pop show.
