The American rapper is back bigger than ever with a brand new video and the release of his new album.

Brother Ali is set to release his fourth album ‘Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color’ this August. The video for the first single from the upcoming album, ‘Not a Day Goes By’ was released earlier this week.

The Muslim rapper is known to stand out due to his poignant lyrics and blunt socio-economic observations.

Inspired by a recent trip to Mecca, Brother Ali once again teamed up with Jake One to produce ‘Mourning…’

The album is said to be about finding a sense of unity amidst the chaos of the current American political system.

If his last gig in Bristol (back in 2010) is anything to go by, he’s on the right path; connecting the audience with his every word. To quote his last album, ‘there’s no me, there’s no you, it’s just us.’

Brother Ali is on a mission; preaching to his beloved audience with a damn fine funky beat. We can’t wait to hear what ‘Mourning…’ brings.

In the meantime, check out the brand new video. And if you’re really looking for something special, catch him on tour this month. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed:
