BOSS magazine are launching their new edition, Issue 12 and celebrating the start of the season with a gig featuring an eclectic mix of the city’s best bands.

The Liverpool FC fanzine which covers ‘the match, music, the city and loads more interesting stuff’ takes over The Static Gallery on Saturday 13th August.

Heading up the bill for the night are dancefloor merchants The Tea Street Band.

Formerly part of The Maybes, The Tea Street Band have been making waves with their euphoric nineties sound that crosses over with indie rock.

Operating in similar territory to Primal Scream’s seminal Screamadelica, the band have a strong live reputation in the city and have played Creamfields as well as The Bido Lito! Social Club at The Shipping Forecast.

In complete contrast indie band The Captive Hearts who have recently supported The Moons on tour deal in classic Liverpool pop akin to The La’s.

Cold Shoulder and The Complete Unknown? are also on the bill, with sounds between sets courtesy of the BOSS playlist.
