Fresh from debuting a brand new video, Atlanta rock band Black Lips have confirmed plans to return to the UK and Europe this summer.
The band are gearing up to release their new album Underneath The Rainbow and will be heading to our side of the pond this May and June for a seven-date live tour.
Black Lips are also set to play at some of the most coveted music festivals this summer, including Barcelona’s Primavera Sound.
Underneath The Rainbow was recorded in New York and saw the band work with some of music’s finest such as music director Tommy Brenneck (Cee Lo, Charles Bradley), Grammy winner Jimmy Douglas (Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Bjork) and long time Lips collaborator Ed Rawls.
The album artwork was shot by legendary photographer Mick Rock who has worked with rock royalty such as David Bowie, Queen and Lou Reed.
Underneath The Rainbow is without doubt the group’s best effort yet, drawing on all of the wild abandon that makes the Black Lips so special and channelling that energy into twelve classic songs.
