Forming from Nottingham University, Amber Run is an Indie-Pop group of five friends originally from Buckinghamshire.

The five knew each other from growing up in Buckinghamshire, but formed at university and left their courses early to pursue rock and roll careers.

This is obviously paying off, with the band signing to RCA records and playing shows bigger and better than ever.

Back in 2012 the band was created, and since then they have performed at Reading and Leeds festival on the BBC Introducing Stage, and supported Kodaline on their March 2014 tour. They were also voted in the top 10 best live performances at The Isle of Wight festival this summer.

They have released 3 EPs in 2014 – Noah, Spark and Pilot. More recently, the first single has been released titled ‘Just My Soul Responding’ which will be part of their debut album set to be released later this year.

Mike Crossey who has worked with Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Foals and Jake Bugg previously is producing the album.

‘Just My Soul Responding’ is reminiscent of Bastille and Kodaline, and has “an arena-sized chorus” (Q Magazine). The huge drum beats mix perfectly to the beautiful harmonies, making this song perfect for listening to live.

Amber Run has recently announced a new Spring UK Tour playing their biggest headline show to date at London Scala. Part of the tour will see the band play Liverpool O2 Academy on the 24th April.

Undoubtedly, this is definitely one to watch as the young quintet will dominate the alternative-rock scene with the likes of Catfish and The Bottlemen.
