Subterranean psych-rockers The Wytches have set the underground scene on fire with their acclaimed live shows which have seen them play to rapturous crowds across the globe. Possessing that independent mentality of by-gone eras, the Brighton-based grungers headlined the sold out Sheffield date of the tour at The Corporation for a night of up close and personal noise. Here they discuss their love of playing live and connecting with their crowds along with highlights from the show.

What do you stand for, The Wytches?

“Our band shares a similar message to the 80s teen film The Breakfast Club: five high school students – all different stereotypes – meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought. Judd Nelson’s character, John Bender, really sticks it to the man. I respect that.”
