For our next Kazimier Garden joint we are bringing a touch of the Adriatic to the intimate Seel Street hideaway with our Croatian brothers in arms The Garden Festival. Now in its 9th season, Croatia’s founding iconic electronic event is hitting the road to party with their friends and family across Europe, and again returns to Liverpool on Saturday 17th May.
For this edition, local gardeners No Fakin’ DJs, Mr Paul, Autocycle and Phat Phil Cooper will be joined by original Bugged Out resident, Chemical Brothers’ tour DJ and Garden Festival regular James Holroyd. With his Balearic BEGIN alias reaching almost cult status, and his renowned all-encompassing DJ sets crossing genres, James and the Kazimier Garden is a perfect combination to bring some early summer sunshine to the city.
Finally, making a long awaited return to Liverpool we welcome king of the Adriatic edit Ole Smokey. From his pioneering San Francisco boat parties in the early 90s, through to his residency at The Garden Zadar in Croatia, Smokey has had toes tapping and heads nodding across the globe for almost 3 decades. A regular on the festival circuit as part of Mr Scruff’s Tea Tent, and a guest selector on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Family Show, he comes to the Kazimier Garden of the back of his first ever Ibiza residency.
With the brand new ice shack serving ice cream, floats, slushes and Vietnamese coffee, a new Summer BBQ menu, the newly transformed open plan terrace and a fresh bar offering of cask ales, biodynamic wines and cocktails, the good people at the Kazimier have once again created a unique refuge in the heart of the city centre.
