Ryan McGarvey is a star on the rise. In just the past few years his accolades have included being selected by Eric Clapton from over 4,000+ artists worldwide to perform at his 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago, to the Guitar Player Magazine’s Annual Readers Choice Award for Best New Talent in 2013.
2014 proved to be another epic year for McGarvey as he was voted the winner of Best Guitarist in the European Blues Awards.
Since then, with the release of his latest album The Road Chosen, Ryan has toured internationally, including major festivals throughout Europe. He has not only gained a growing national and international fan base, but admiration from his personal idols as well.
“I met Ryan in 2006 and was very impressed at the depth of his influence and his ability to put said influences together in his own way. To watch him grow as a artist and to hear his name mentioned to me as much as it has, is a testament to his hard work and skill.” Joe Bonamassa
His incendiary, yet dynamic guitar playing leaves crowds around the world marvelling, and wanting more. With strong songs, award winning vocals, fierce guitar playing, an unstoppable work ethic, and an undying love for the blues flavoured hard rock he pours from his soul, Ryan has been compared to the best in the business.
“Look for this young lion in the future because he’s looking for his own sound and what I’ve heard so far; I like it.” Chris Duarte
Ryan appears at Holmfirth Blues Weekend at The Picturedrome with his band featuring legendary bass player Carmine Rojas (David Bowie, Joe Bonamassa, Rod Stewart & Tina Turner).
