Mixmag have revealed that Disclosure will play the first ever Mixmag Live event held outside of London.
At the start of last year, Disclosure had just released a 7″ single, limited to 500 copies; by the beginning of this year, they had taken the #2 spot in the UK Top 40 singles chart.
It’s clear to see that the rise of the Croydon-born brothers has been lightning quick and nothing short of meteoric. That’s thanks to their signature production style – which blends garage, house and post-dubstep to devastating effect – incendiary live shows and boundary-pushing DJ sets.
Having introduced a new sound to the UK underground and turned a fresh generation on to dance music, this year looks set to be dominated by Disclosure.
This is why Mixmag have picked them to be their June issue cover stars and play not only the first Mixmag Live of the summer, but at the first Mixmag Live event that’s ever been held outside of London.
The pair play a special DJ show two days before the release of their debut album ‘Settle’. The record includes their biggest tunes to date, ‘White Noise’ (featuring AlunaGeorge) and ‘Latch’ (featuring Sam Smith), as well as most recent single ‘You & Me’ (featuring Eliza Doolittle).
Support on the night comes from Disclosure’s forward-thinking peers as well as one of their all-time heroes. Rising producer Koreless and Hessle Audio’s Pearson Sound will be joined by garage legend Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont playing across two rooms.
If you haven’t seen them yet, this will be the perfect chance to find out what Disclosure are all about. And if you are a fan, this will be a great way to see them play a headline set along with some killer support.
The show sees them play ahead of an extensive set of tour dates which will see them conquer festivals across Europe and beyond.
The event takes place Saturday June 1st at East Village Arts Club, 90 Seel Street, Liverpool.
Tickets are £14 NUS advance / £16 advance (ticket price includes the Disclosure edition of Mixmag and cover CD mixed by Disclosure)
