Don’t miss an extremely rare London show with legendary Wu-Tang member Method Man and long-time collaborator and hip hop legend, Redman, live at O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday 14 April 2018.

Method Man was the first solo star to emerge from the Wu-Tang Clan, as one of the most recognisable MCs in the collective, who featured heavily of the group’s classic 1993 debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). He went on to sign with Def Jam where he teamed up with label mate Redman on the gold status, compilation track ‘How High’, and it was the debut that cemented them as a duo in 1995.

Towards the end of the 90s, Method Man’s frequent team-ups with Redman produced an incredible musical chemistry, as well as big-screen success together, including the cult classic stoner movie, “How High” (2001).

In 1999 they entered the studio together to record the collaborative album, Blackout!, which entered the charts at No. 3, reaching critically acclaimed platinum status. A steady stream of mixtapes, live albums and concert videos appeared ahead of Method Man reuniting with Redman a decade later for the 2009 sequel, Blackout! 2.

Redman is one of the most esteemed and enduring rappers of the 90s and 00s. Also a member of the Def Squad crew, he hit major solo success with his 1992 debut, and gold-selling Whut? Thee Album, a record regarded by many critics as a hip hop classic, establishing him as one of the top MCs on the east coast.

More recently, Wu-Tang returned with their brand new album, Wu-Tang: The Saga Continues (13 October 2017), their first since 2014. The first single to be released from this, their seventh official studio album, was “People Say”, featuring both Method Man and Redman.

Undoubtedly one of the most prolific rap duos for more than two decades, Method Man & Redman will hit London hard with a heavy dose of 90s hip hop nostalgia and a guaranteed good time.
