Liverpool Sound City 2014 Announces New Wave of Acts

Liverpool Sound City will be releasing the third list of artists set to perform in the Spring festival first thing tomorrow morning. These artists include Jagwar Ma, Public Service Broadcasting, Blood Red Shoes, Bird and Say Lou Lou.

With the new list of acts bringing the total number performing this year to over 100 superb bands, music fans throughout the city will not be disappointed. This third wave is not the last and by the end of April, 200 more bands will be added to the line up.

Bands that are already getting fans excited include Kodaline, Clean Bandit and The Hold Steady.

As well as having many bands to look forward to, the team behind Sound City have announced that their main headliner, Gruff Rhys will be taking part in a Q&A at the high profile industry conference which is a staple part of the event every year. The conference covers many topics including football as well as music and other names to look forward to in the conference include John Cale and FIFA presidential candidate Jerome Champagne.

Said CEO David Pichilingi: “Our mission has been to grow and get better every year and attract an ever bigger, more exciting and eclectic line up of acts to this city. This year we’ve surpassed all expectations. Sound City has now firmly established itself as the premium event of this kind in the UK and we’re not done yet.”

The festival will be hosted across different venues across the city of Liverpool from the 1st to the 3rd of May. Keep your eyes peeled for more band announcements as well as other special surprises.
