The Walled City rocked like never before as Union J, The Wanted and Jessie J tore up the stage at Chester Rocks festival.

Union J delighted an army of screaming fans, proving their popularity, despite having released only one single to date.

The Wanted headlined the first night as fans welcomed back singer Nathan Sykes following his recent throat surgery, and he was treated to a barrage of underwear hurled from the front rows.

Alongside bandmates Max George, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Siva Kaneswaran, five lucky fans were brought up on stage, while the band serenaded each one of them.

Completing the lineup on the first day were YouTube sensations Ollie Marland, A*M*E and The Vamps.

Taking to the stage for a headline set on the final night of the festival was pop princess Jessie J.

Making her presence known on and off the stage, the star arrived with a huge entourage, taking up every other tent backstage and even bagging her wardrobe a tent of its own.

She commanded the stage sporting her shaved blonde hair, wearing high-waisted leather hotpants, fluorescent orange trainers and a tie-top showing her midriff with “I am a Prima donna, and you?” printed.

The 26-year-old gave an energetic performance, bounding around the stage at Chester Racecourse as she delighted her fans with her hits like Price Tag, Domino and Do It Like a Dude.

Scarlett’s Roses, Charlie Brown and Lawson warmed up the crowd for the second day before former X Factor star Amelia Lily performed in a questionable tartan ensemble and fishnet tights.
