The exciting, African-inspired music of Ibibio Sound Machine is set to be blaring once again in the vibrant city of Liverpool as it’s been announced that they’ll be kicking off the new year with a great performance at Fiesta Bombarda’s January Festival at the Anglican Cathedral.
The band who are from London, with Nigerian-British singer Eno Williams at the helm, will be at the festival with the help of African Oye, the yearly summer spectacle has teamed up with the Bombarda team.
Fiesta Bombarda kicks off on January 27 and promises to be an event filled with plenty of rhythm and movement in a brilliant dedication to Africa. It takes place in the gorgeous surroundings of the Anglican Cathedral.

Prepare yourselves for the biggest Bombarda to date, as radiant brass melodies and rousing African rhythms entwine themselves around Liverpool’s most iconic building!
January 28th sees the multitalented maestro BEARDYMAN take to the stage a master class in improvisation, beat boxing and many more surprises. Alongside him will be the return of the brass powerhouses RENEGADE BRASS BAND and roots-reggae sensations JERAMIAH FERRARI. January 27th line up is to be announced shortly!
Joining Bombarda’s biggest ever line up will also be our Bombarda Residents, Fiesta Face Paints, immersive carnival décor and Heartbeat Community & Bring the Fire Project Drum Workshop.
