Having outgrown its previous home in Bulgaria, Horizon Festival is set for an exciting new chapter with even more diverse and eclectic sounds, stunning views, incredible skiing and snowboarding terrain and unparalleled late-night parties at its new home in Andorra.

Taking over the village of Arinsal, close to the borders of France and Spain, festival-goers can dive into the celebrated Horizon programme, with an eclectic musical selection of artists, DJs and live acts from across the musical spectrum. Leading the first artist announcement for 2017 is a true mix of styles and influences, with grime superstar-in-waiting AJ Tracey, renowned UK flagbearer Oneman and explosive genre morphers Yussef Kamaal all dipping their own flavour into the Horizon experience. It’s an experience which has included many collaborative sets over the last few years, and 2017 is no exception with acclaimed spinner Ben UFO going B2B with the chameleonic vibes of Midland for a memorable journey through underground dance.

Two of the most exciting and popular underground stars, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Horizon veteran KiNK will be playing their first shows of 2017 in Arinsal, promising festival-goers an exclusive first look at their revered new shows – whilst Craig Charles will once again be bringing the funk and soul party high on the mountains. The revered UK drum and bass label Shogun Audio will be bringing more cutting edge vibes, with a unique showcase including sets from Icicle, Rockwell and Technimatic, with gritty beat-maker Mumdance, the legendary Channel One Soundsystem and slick producer Avalon Emerson all bringing their own flair to further nights across the Andorran hills.

Speaking about the announcement, KiNK said:

“I’ve seen the evolution of Horizon Festival since the first edition, as I’ve played at the festival every year and I feel very connected to it. Each time it has been special and I`m looking forward to playing Horizon this year too”

With garage icon Scott Garcia, Rinse FM breakfast spinner Emerald, emerging club favourite Jasper James, acclaimed dubstep pioneer El-B going b2b with Moony, eclectic selector Or:la, Eva Lazarus, Jam Baxter, Courtesy, Josey Rebelle, Bahia Haze and Cooly G also joining the lineup, Horizon Festival once again is packed with the defining names and sounds for the year ahead.

Or:la said about the announcement:

“I’ve heard great things about Horizon and I can’t wait to be a part of it this year!”

At every corner, Horizon has become synonymous for the out-there and spectacular parties and 2017 will be no different. The Andorran mountains will play host to a stunning variety of experiences, from the whimsical escape of the Forest Parties, the second-annual Horizon Paintball Wars, the pinnacle highs of the mammoth Warehouse Parties and a mountain top avalanche arena with Champagne ice bar, snow yoga, acoustic sets and more.

If you’re searching for something a bit different, Horizon 2017 has you covered. The festival will be opening the doors to ‘The Hostal’, an abandoned hotel transformed into a dark fairytale full of looming corridors, amazing set designs and immersive performances – it’s set to be packed with truly mind blowing sights and seriously good times.

Across the village, there’s even more to see, listen to and dance to – with Horizon Festival 2017 also boasting:

The inaugural Horizon Championships – the definitive snow sports tournament for all the dedicated ski and snowboarders to hone and compete on top of the stunning mountainsides.

The Music Production Lab where artists will cut and produce their own music and festival-goers can hear insider talks from famous artists and producers.

The Hot Spa Cinema, giving festival-goers the chance to revitalise and refresh with late-night entertainment screenings.

Bonfire Parties complete with special DJ sets and a plethora of feast options from Street Food vendors

Immersive Gondolas – ensuring that the party continues even on the way up to the Mountain Top Main Stage

Kicking off the festival will be a special Pre-Party in Barcelona, the main gateway to Andorra, on Saturday 25th March, providing festival goers with a stop-over club experience in one of Barcelona’s top party venues. Horizon Festival 2017 is the definitive winter festival experience – with over 120 DJs, 30 Parties and 2 Mountains at Europe’s Greatest Ski Party.
