Farr Festival is incredibly proud to unveil an array of artists who are a true representation of current electronic music culture, performing across Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July 2018.

Taking place in a beautiful woodland less than an hour from bustling London, Farr Festival is a mesmeric escape from reality. Now spread over four days at Bygrave Woods, the weekend-long adventure is a blend of cutting-edge music with real heart and soul, an edifying and enriching experience for the mind and body alike, sound-tracked by some of the most inspiring, challenging and creative artists across six stages.

Farr Festival opens on Thursday 5th July with a captivating live set from Canadian producer Jacques Greene, who has collaborated with the likes of Jimmy Edgar to The XX. Bringing in some of the Motor
City’s vibrations, the lone masked prince of Detroit DJ Stingray is joined by Shanti Celeste to showcase their high velocity DJ skills.

Revered long-time selectors Prosumer, Tama Sumo, Lakuti, Dan Beaumont and newcomer Wes Baggaley are set to elevate Thursday’s emotions even higher, whilst Antepop, Ozel AB, Jacques Bon and Telfort bring things deeper than deep at the esteemed Campfire Headphase stage.

Shadow City Soundsystem, Champagne Funk, GIRL and Kiara Scuro also step up to conclude Thursday’s offerings.

On Friday 6th July, “Original Nuttah” Shy FX warms up the crowd at the Factory before Mount Kimbie are joined by a full band to perform their recent krautrock inspired long player “Love What Survives”. Multi-instrumentalist Tom Misch also joins Friday’s proceedings with a live performance of his eagerly anticipated new album “Geography”, followed by a superlative DJ set from Daphni, the solo outing of Caribou.

Sure to bring maximal heat to the woods, stage host Mr G will step up with a pulsating live show, joined by techno heavy weight DVS1, sonic explorer Afrikan Sciences, jazz virtuoso Byron The Aquarius, New Jersey native Joey Anderson and Josey Rebelle.

Eclair Fifi, Body Hammer and a live performance from Kelly Lee Owens precede Veronica Vasicka’s high energy selection of industrial EBM and other synth-music oddities, whilst Optimo and Young Marco join forces for some unique back-to- back action. Call Super and Or:la will take over the woods before the Zenker Brothers go back-to- back with Skee Mask for a potent DJ assault.

Skee Mask will also play a solo live set at Campfire Headphase joined by a hotly tipped experimental lineup featuring The Trilogy Tapes production duo Rezzett, Workshop Records co-founder Even Tuell, L.I.E.S affiliate Terekke, rising Berlin selector Cera Khin, Meda Mury label boss Nick Williams, plus an ambient back-to- back set from Sofia Ilyas and Francis Redman. Campfire Headphase will close with a captivating live sunrise set from Chilean experimental beat producer Natureboy Flako.

Saturday 7th July brings together some of the most on-point names in electronic music with the inimitable Moodymann taking centre stage. Maribou State and George Fitzgerald will both perform live at The Factory, preceding dub aficionado Jah Shaka and Adrian Sherwood plus BBC Radio 1’s very own Benji B. Innervisions label boss Dixon will play a specially extended three-hour set at The Shack joined by Job Jobse, Running Back label founder Gerd Janson, Willow and Ma Dahu.

Roman Flügel and Salon Des Amateurs resident Lena Willikens promise to present a near out-of- body experience, whilst the enigmatic Paranoid London duo whip up a much anticipated analogue storm. They are joined by Bawrut, DEBONAIR, Marlon Hoffstadt and live sets from Timothy Clerkin and C.A.R. aka Chloé Raunet.

Campfire Headphase sees Galcher Lustwerk, DJ Richard and Vester Koza on the wheels of steel, whilst the man behind the all-time classic “Peace Of Mind”, Claro Intelecto, will ravish the audience with a rare appearance, followed by an ethereal live set at sunrise from Indole Records’ boss HOLOVR.

Terry Farley, Daren Nunes and Nancy Noise join long standing Trojan Records Sound System selector and serious Jamaican music connoisseur Earl Gateshead to complete Saturday’s offerings.

Sunday’s lineup will be revealed in February, bringing the festival to a thrilling conclusion. Adding artisanal food and drink, holistic activities; including workshops, yoga and meditation, plus hot tubs, talks and cocktail workshops, the ninth edition of Farr Festival offers a beautifully balanced weekend of music, arts, wellness and lots of fun in summer 2018, an essential destination for festival lovers which continues to flourish.
