Celebrating Creamfield’s 20th anniversary in Daresbury this Bank Holiday weekend, around 70,000 spectators and 300 artists will be gathering in the Cheshire countryside for a jam-packed weekend.
Headlining day three of the festival, Martin Solveig (Intoxicated) has already kicked off his 90 minute set ahead of internationally renowned DJs Oliver Heldens, Armin van Buuren and deadmau5 sharing the Horizon Stage tonight.
Purple Revolver spoke to Oliver Heldens about how he became a renowned DJ with the help from a fellow successful music producer, Tiesto.
Heldens said: “I’ve been making melodies since a young age, I expected some success but not to be this mad.
“Since Gecko, I’ve been touring and making lots of tracks so it has been crazy!”
Jumping straight in after Heldens, the gorgeous Pixie Lott and Liverpool’s own Anton Powers posed for photos and we had the opportunity to talk to Pixie about her “Baby”.
Pixie said: “We actually first met years ago when he first remixed my song ‘Gravity’, and then we bumped into each other in Ibiza and we always wanted to work together.
“I’ve wanted to go into more dance music stuff because that’s what people love.
“Both of our world’s combined and thats how we made ‘Baby’!”
Aside from the hustle and bustle in the main arena, the team came across a nifty brass trio who played some Cream Classics from the 90s.
Brass Rave Unit said: “We are not performing here at Cream, but we let the people come to us.”
