With only 135 days left until the next instalment of Bloodstock goes live the festival has added a deliciously dirty dozen bands to a bill that’s already busting at the seams.
Johannes Eckerström and his Swedish rabble-rousers Avatar will appear on Friday’s Sophie Lancaster stage line up along with Thrown into Exile. It will be the first chance for UK fans to catch the Swedes on their Going Hunting run with their tour having been pushed back until 2023 due to Covid.
Saturday on the S.O.P.H.I.E. stage sees PUPIL SLICER and hardcore/crossover thrash newcomers (feat. members of Tesseract and Eths) CAGE FIGHT making an appearance, with nu-metal stalwarts ILL NINO, Manchester hardcore noiseniks GUILT TRIP, hard-hitting rockers SKARLETT RIOT, and progressive groove/sludge merchants DESERT STORM bringing the fun on Sunday.
The Ronnie James Dio stage welcomes epic Swedish doomsters SORCERER and industrial metalheads RED METHOD on Friday’s bill, and waking you all up first thing on Saturday, will be Danish death metallers, BAEST. Thousands of tired and weary rockers will be woken up from their festival haze by Des Moines, Iowa upstarts VENDED who are set to kick off proceedings and blow your Sunday morning wide open.
Unfortunately, with the cancellation of their entire European tour, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals will no longer be bringing their Pantera set to Catton Park, but with a host of incredible bands already announced across the weekend, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
