With just three weeks to go until the festivities kick off Bloodstock have revealed the final names to appear over the weekend, leading the way with a welcome visit from everybody’s favourites The Wildhearts, who have been called upon as replacements for Code Orange who unfortunately had to pull out a few weeks ago.
Their frontman Ginger tells us “I am over the fucking moon to be playing Bloodstock festival. I’ve been waiting for this for years. I always said that the first time I attend Bloodstock, I want to be on the bill.”
They are riding high with a well-deserved resurgence following the release of Renaissance Men which has brought them much acclaim and has been touted as one of the best rock albums of the year so far. Their energy and uncompromising riffage is sure to go across well on the Ronnie James Dio stage on the Saturday.
Also joining the line-up are Scottish gloomers Lotus Eater, who replace SHVPES who also had to pull out from their spot. They will appear on the Sophie Lancaster stage on the Saturday also.
They have also announced the Metal 2 the Masses winners who will take over the new Blood stage across the weekend after impressing throughout the M2TM roadshows. They are
DEATH BY KI, GAIA, XERO, MIDNIGHT PROPHECY, GRIEF RITUAL, VOLTUNAS, EMPIRE WARNING, VOIDLURKER, STORMCAST FRACTIONS and LEADROBOT. Do yourself a favour and check out as many of these acts as possible over the weekend. They all deserve your time and they will be giving it their all – this is what the heart of the festival is all about. They are the future!
