The mighty BEHEMOTH have been announced for 2022’s Bloodstock festival – joining MERCYFUL FATE and LAMB OF GOD as the final headliner – closing out the Ronnie James Dio stage on the Friday night.
Frontman Nergal said “BLOODSTOCK has a very special place in BEHEMOTH’s heart. They are one of the first major European metal festivals who took risks to position BEHEMOTH as a festival headliner; a game changer for us in the UK! I can’t wait to get back onto the legendary grounds of Catton Park and raise some monumental hell with our legions! Until August!”
The Polish legends have made the most of lockdown having spent the last year writing new material as well as producing one of the stand out livestream events of the lockdown period. Seeing them back in real life will surely be a highlight of next years event.
Other names added to the main stage line up include Las Vegas ‘Death Western’ crew SPIRITWORLD and Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL.
BELPHEGOR, HEART OF A COWARD and BLOOD YOUTH are announced for the S.O.P.H.I.E. stage along with Hull’s BLACK TONGUE, “one of the most promising young bands in modern metalcore” HERIOT and Celtic folk punk heroes FEROCIOUS DOG.
With DIMMU BORGIR, PHILIP H. ANSELMO & THE ILLEGALS playing their Pantera set, TESTAMENT, EXODUS, BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GWAR (in a UK festival exclusive), BURY TOMORROW, SACRED REICH, LIFE OF AGONY, BUTCHER BABIES, VIO-LENCE, BLOODYWOOD, JINJER, LORNA SHORE, DOYLE, & LOST SOCIETY. HATEBREED, SLEEP TOKEN, EYEHATEGOD, DISCHARGE, STATIC-X, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, ENFORCED, PARTY CANNON, SOEN, HEATHEN, and NEKROGOBLIKON all already announced the 2022 instalment of Bloodstock is shaping up to be an incredible weekend.
