Battle is set to commence this Saturday between fans of the world’s biggest science fiction show Dr Who and fans of the biggest boy band on the planet – One Direction.
The lads announced yesterday that they will claim the day as their own with the 1D Day Event. The live performance is set to broadcast worldwide from Los Angeles and will feature fellow Brit Robbie Williams as well as Canadian icon Celine Dion.
Experts predict the event will attract worldwide attention on the same day that Dr Who was set to dominate the airwaves with their 50th anniversary special Day of the Doctor.
The BBC are attempting to ensure success in the ratings by filling their schedule with look back shows and documentaries all week including An Adventure in Time and Space which is due to air tonight on the BBC. Radio 1 is also set to air an interview with Don Gallacher, the original producer of Mankind’s hit single Dr Who?
