Mad Men sex symbol Christina Hendricks has got her army of red-blooded fans hot under the collar after revealing the way to win her over is to suit up.
The curvaceous actress said she had become enamoured with the 1960s look personified by co-star Jon Hamm as Don Draper in the advertising period drama.
Gorgeous redhead Christina believes men displayed much better fashion sense in those days and promised the new series will deliver an even groovier dress sense as they progress further into the Swinging Sixties.
Christina, who is happily married to actor Geoffrey Arend, said: “They all looked so sharp.
“I think it is the idea that men didn’t kick and fight when they had to put on a suit.
“I like my husband in a suit. My husband wears suits all the time. He loves them and feels comfortable in them. I think a man dressed up looks nice.”
she added: “I love men in hats. Don Draper has his nice wide-brim Fedora.”
Christina said the fashion in the sixth series of the cult American drama — which launches on Sky Atlantic next month — cuts a deeper groove than earlier series.
She said: “I think the men’s fashion this year is standout. It is definitely groovier.
“My outfit in the first episode — I feel like Daphne from Scooby-Doo. It is a lot of Scooby-Doo outfits.”
Christina — as secretary Joan Harris — has fewer lines than Draper in that episode, but she claimed not to be bothered by that. She said: “Everybody has fewer lines than Don Draper.
“I don’t remember feeling upset about it. I just remember thinking it was a great script.”
The actress said that, despite being on Mad Men since the start, she still likes to rewatch some of the early episodes.
She said: “Every once in a while in the middle of the night, I watch a rerun from the early seasons and I love it.
“I love it because there are things you forget. That is pretty fun… to walk down memory lane like that.”
