As WWE Superstar Stardust entered the ring on RAW, he leaned over the guardrail and hissed in the face of Arrow star Stephen Amell, who was sitting at ringside to watch WWE’s flagship show.
Stardust then entered the ring to compete in a match against high-flyer Neville.
Neville ended up hitting his finisher, the Red Arrow, to score the pinfall on Stardust.
WWE Raw’s colour commentator JBL insinuated that Stardust was embarrassed “right out here in front of his nemesis the Arrow.”
Following the match, JBL posted on Twitter that by losing on Raw, Stardust had “failed this city” a nod to Amell’s hit TV sow Arrow
Prior to Monday Night Raw, Stardust posted the following on Twitter:
“Rumors . . .
@amellywood in mY lair . . .
#RAW
(poor Stephen)
#StardustvArrow”
Arrow’s Stephen Amell responded with:
“Don’t tweet me. Show me.” Including a link to Stardust’s original tweet seen above.
After RAW, Stardust was interviewed regarding what happened during the night, he appeared to be over his loss to Neville, not affected at all.
Stardust simply focused his attention once again to Amell, Stardust went as a far as outing Amell’s superhero identity as Arrow to the world and issued an open invitation for actor Amell to return to Raw to begin a fresh chapter of their rivalry.
Stephen Amell took to Twitter to acknowledge Stardust by posting:
“You tread carefully @StardustWWE — Or I’ll be back.”
Arrow’s Stephen Amell has expressed strong interest in getting involved in WWE for quite some time now, Stardust’s invitation just may be his ticket…
We’ll have to see if anything materialises out of this past Monday’s actions, will Stephen Amell accept Stardust’s invitation and appear once again on WWE’s Monday Night Raw?
This is surely to be something to keep a close eye on in the WWE Universe.
