Everton FC supporters attending this evening’s home clash with West Bromwich Albion are on course to appear in Rocky spinoff Creed as footage from Goodison Park is set to be used in the film.
Honorary Evertonian Sylvester Stallone will appear on a big screen at half time during the Premier League fixture, and fans who remain in their seats might just wind up in his upcoming movie.
The Goodison crowd was chosen for the movie because professional boxer Tony Bellew, who has a part in Creed, is a lifelong Everton supporter.
“I would like you to stay in your seats at half-time and keep any eye on the big screens for a very special guest to make a welcome return to Goodison Park,” said Bellew.
“Be sure you make as much noise as possible – go absolutely nuts at half-time – to help us create a brilliant atmosphere. I have seen firsthand what kind of noise Evertonians create – it will be perfect for the scene.”
Everton confirmed the presence of the film crew and Stallone’s half-time message via their official Twitter account, instructing fans to remain in their seats during the interval to be in with the chance of a Creed cameo.
Set to shoot in Philadelphia later this month, Creed will see Stallone reprise his role as Rocky Balboa to act as coach to Adonis Creed, the grandson of his one-time rival Apollo Creed.
