Christina Ricci is taking her role as bride-to-be one step beyond as she announces plans to design the dress herself.
The former Pan Am actress, who is engaged to fiancé James Heerdegen revealed to Life & Style magazine her plans for the wedding so far.
Christina said: “We have the venue, we have a caterer and I have someone working on a dress.”
The talented star, 32, who landed her first big role in the Addams Family aged 11, also announced that she will be helping the designer create the one-of-a-kind wedding gown.
On the design process, she said: “It’s fun. We are still in the initial sketching stages.”
Although Christina has not yet revealed a name, she said that the designer is a ‘close friend’.
Supermodel Kate Moss teamed up with friend and designer John Galliano when helping to create the bespoke vintage number she wore when she tied the knot with husband Jamie Hince.
Other celebrities who have taken their hand to adding a personal touch to their wedding day attire include Anne Hathaway who wore custom-made Valentino and Blake Lively who chose Marchesa.
The happy couple met on the set of American television series Pan Am where James was working as a dolly grip.
