Wu Chess challenge winner gets to shadowbox GZA in Liverpool

Wu Tang fans keep a clear head during GZA’s Liverpool show tonight as the chance to shadowbox the Genius looms large on the morning horizon.

“The game of chess, is like a sword fight. You must think first, before you move.”

GZA, aka Gary Grice co-founded Wu Chess with his cousin the RZA aka The Abbot to pass down the importance of mental agility and how it can positively influence every aspect of your life.

Tomorrow Leaf on Bold St plays host to a knock-out tournament with the three finalists winning the chance to play GZA. You can enter for £5 from 10am and there will free cups of tea for everyone throwing down on the 64 squares.

The grand winner will also receive free CD’s, a signed chess set and free tickets for future shows.
