Tiger Rock Hawker’s new second site in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district is beginning to take shape ahead of its highly anticipated opening later next month.

Builders have officially started work on the North John Street eatery, which looks set to mirror the brand’s signature jungle inspiration, with the contemporary space featuring a muted earthy colour scheme, multi-texture aesthetics combining wood, marble and brick, together with an open-plan seating area. It will also play home to a 10-metre-long bar.

Managing Director of Tiger Rock Hawker Vikki Teh said: “Ahead of our opening next month, we want to give both new and familiar faces a sneak peek of what’s in store for venue number two.

“The new site will pay homage to our original South Liverpool venue in its aesthetics, except for a larger bar area, which will make for a lively hotspot either pre or post-food as well as becoming a drinking destination within its own right. As our extensive selection of East Asian dishes have become synonymous with the brand, the same dishes will be served across the board to ensure that everyone can enjoy a slice of the action when exploring a multitude of cuisines that date back from centuries ago.

“Ultimately, we want to allow foodies to take a trip across the globe and experience a captivating multi-cultural culinary adventure that invigorates the senses.”

Soon to be available at both venues, culinary delights comprise a range of cuisines such as Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, Singaporean, Vietnamese and Laotian. Menu highlights include Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng, Som Tam, Laksa Mee, Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Kimchi, Chilli Soft Shell Crab, Wasabi Steak and Chicken Satay Skewered to name a few. A wide selection of beers, wines and Bellinis also grace the drinks menu.

Vikki added: “It offers a great sense of pride and achievement to have developed the brand in a relatively short space of time, having recently celebrated the original site’s first year anniversary, and soon operate in both suburban and central settings.

“Together with furthering our geographical reach, the city centre venue will create 25 new local jobs as we are currently on the lookout for experienced and reliable kitchen and waiting staff to join our expanding team.”
