Not long now until our spectacular fireworks extravaganza on the Liverpool/Wirral Waterfront lights up the River and we’re excited to share more sparkling details with you.
From 4pm, we’ve got spectacular street entertainment from drummers and fire performers who will be illuminating the waterfront. There’ll also be UV face painting, illuminated street theatre performers, free light painting drop-in workshops by Open Eye Gallery and live music.
From 5.30pm, world-renowned drummers, Les Commandos Percu and Deabru Beltzak, will set off from outside Liverpool Town Hall along a city centre route filled with music, lights and fireworks, ending at the city’s waterfront. The fireworks finale of this special event will start at 6.30pm and will last for around 20 minutes.
By bringing together Liverpool and the Wirral we will be able to produce an enhanced event experience with a wider offer from pre-show animation, international drummers and a spectacular fireworks display on the River Mersey.
The build-up will start from 4:00pm with street entertainment from drummers and fire performers ‘Bring the Fire Project’ – a collective of fire dancers, circus skills teachers and flow arts promoters – at four locations:
Albert Dock, Salthouse Quay, Liverpool
Mann Island basin, Liverpool
Princes Parade, Liverpool
Hamilton Square/Woodside Ferry Terminal, Wirral
Also on offer across the four locations are UV face painting, illuminated street theatre performers, free light painting drop in workshops by Open Eye Gallery and live music!

It can often be cold on the Waterfront so don’t forget to wrap up warm and plan your visit.
Dogs can often be frightened of Fireworks and displays so please don’t bring them to the display.
Please don’t bring your own fireworks, sparklers or Chinese Lanterns
PLEASE NOTE: This year there will be NO firework displays at either Sefton Park or Newsham Park.
