The Beastie Boys have teamed up with Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen and a host of other comedians and actors to film a 30 minute sequel to 1987’s Fight for Your Right.
The film will be released later this year to coincide with rap groups’ album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, their first since 2007’s Grammy-winning The Mix-Up.
Hot Sauce Committee Part One was due for a 2009 release, but after founding member Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch’s battle and recovery from cancer, the original 16 tracks have been added to Part 2, to be released this May. The album also includes appearances from Nas and Santigold.
The thirty minute short, Fight for Your Right – Revisited, features Ted Danson, Steve Buscemi, Will Arnett, Alicia Silverstone, Orlando Bloom, and many more.
Danny McBride, Elijah Wood and Seth Rogen play the Beasties, with Will Ferrell, John C Reilly and Jack Black starring as their olderselves. Stanley Tucci and Susan Sarandon are the irate parents whose house has just been destroyed at the hands of a Beastie party, not to mention a whole host of other Hollywood cameos.
