Following from the success of their Mothers of Horror prints Uncle Frank Productions will be exhibiting their entire senti-mental collection over Liverpool’s Light Night event.

Uncle Frank is a Liverpool based design studio specialising in creative resources for the horror genre but after a Valentine’s Day promo campaign attracted worldwide attention Uncle Frank has regularly been revealing their humorously ironic designs.

The initial artwork featuring 11 of horror’s most iconic legends showed that even monsters have a sensitive side. Characters like Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger and Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise all open their hearts up in 11 beautifully designed and gorgeously presented prints.

“We never initially meant to have them for sale” explains illustrator and animator Ilan Sheady. “We purely wanted to give horror fans the chance to make their valentine a bit more personal. We were very happy to have so many people liking and sharing the artwork but had no idea that so many wanted to buy them too”.

“With us openly allowing people to download and post anywhere they wanted, it was important that any products that we made were of a high enough standard that would justify fans paying out for it. Thankfully POTO Studio are as passionate about high quality printing as we are about horror, and the result is extremely impressive.”

But why make romantic gestures?

“For real fans, horror is all year round, not just for Halloween. If you are more likely to have a Cenobite to express your feelings than a pink rabbit then why shouldn’t you?”

Uncle Frank Productions is a creative agency that offers support and resources specifically for the horror genre, and while they keep busy behind the scenes on a number of projects, now and again they find the time to do promotional campaigns like this.

Embracing Light Night, Uncle Frank Productions will be revealing their new Fathers of horror collection, some new designs and an exclusive print just for the event.

“We really enjoy working on our Prints of Darkness designs. This exhibition will show off the entire collection as well as some never before seen designs just in time for Father’s Day. Even more exciting though are some upcoming projects that include animations, new products and an upcoming Liverpool event.”
