Radio One’s Big Weekend is coming to Carlisle, the excitement spilling over into the city’s premier club night Uber – putting together a double header of awesome parties.
Uber debuts for Annie Mac and Kissy Sellout alongside a returning Pete Tong head up a scintillating smorgasbord of talent over the two shows, with DJ support from Calvin Harris, Erol Alkan and Riva Starr, with many more still to be confirmed.
Carlisle hasn’t seen a concentration of international superstar DJs in such a short space of time ever, making it a truly historic event for England’s most Northern city.
The support cast is equally as rambunctious over the two gigs. Joining Annie and Kissy on the Friday will be none other than Erol Alkan, the techno tyrant who has been one of the key proponents of this century’s more hedonistic dance music, as well as Moda and In New Music we Trust pair Jaymo & Andy George.
Dance music’s very own genre chameleon Riva Starr and a very special set from Jaguar Skills in the back room. A bulging list of the great and good of Carlisle’s DJ talent is in full support, making for a mouth-watering weekend.
