Trattoria 51 has unveiled an exclusive menu of limited edition Christmas cocktails just in time for the festive season.
The Old Hall Street eatery aims to spread the holiday cheer with a trio of seasonal concoctions guaranteed to kick off the yuletide celebrations in style.
Served throughout December, each of the cocktails has been specially devised to pay homage to traditional festive flavours, together with the signature yuletide and Italian colours of green, white and red.
General Manager of Trattoria 51 Toni Karemanaj said: “What better way to celebrate Christmastime than with a merry tipple or two? With that in mind we wanted to create a special cocktail range that not only looks festive but tastes it too.
“Perfect alongside a festive meal or alone to spread the Christmas cheer, the cocktails are blended with nostalgic tastes such as cinnamon, cocoa and peppermint, and aptly made with ingredients to reflect not only traditional Christmas colours, but of course the Italian flag!”
Guaranteed to kick start the party, the Merry Mocha is a coffee based cocktail comprising Kahlua, cream, coffee and cocoa, while the sweeter Candy Cane Martini is made with gin, Prosecco and pomegranate juice. The Grinch, a bright and zesty refreshment, contains Midori, lemon juice and sugar syrup.
All year round, Trattoria 51’s well stocked bar also serves up a selection of Champagne cocktails including Kir Royale, made with crème de cassis or the fruiter Bellini and Rossini, each made with Prosecco and peach puree and pureed strawberries respectively.
Toni added: “Our Christmas cocktail selection is the perfect accompaniment to Trattoria 51’s threesome of delectable Christmas menus – the Menu Verde, Menu Bianco and Menu Rosso. Each of our festive party menus features a selection of appetising sharing starter platters, delicious main courses and an assortment of indulgent desserts, all inspired by classic festive food with a contemporary Italian twist.
“For the first time, we will also be opening our doors on Christmas Day this year to serve an opulent 51 Special menu. Devised with traditional family dining in mind, we have pulled out all the stops to create an all-round celebration for every one of all ages to enjoy.”
