Trattoria 51 is kicking off the Easter weekend with a perfect combo of ‘Fish & Fizz’ this Good Friday (March 30).
The popular eatery, with locations in Liverpool’s Old Hall Street and Southport Promenade serves traditional Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist, including a number of seafood specials ideal for those opting to go meat-free.
In true celebratory style each dish can be accompanied by a sparkling range of fizz including Trattoria 51’s signature bellinis in flavours such as classic peach, strawberry and apple.
Restauranteur Attilio Sergi said: “Easter is a special time of year when we see families to get together to celebrate in each other’s company and delicious food plays a huge role in the merriments. This is why we are making dining and drinking simple with a consortium of classic dishes that can be perfectly paired with a glass of bubbly.
“Traditionally, many people choose to forego meat on Good Friday for cultural reasons which is why we are offering a number of seafood specials for our guests to enjoy. Fish is a staple in any Italian diet and it is certainly a huge part of our offerings here at Trattoria 51, proving to be a favourite with customers time and time again. Why not try something different this Good Friday with one of our most popular dishes such as Grilled Sea Bass Fillet or King Prawn Linguine?”
To begin their meal, diners can opt from an array of seafood starters including Calamari Fritti (Fried Calamari with Garlic Mayonnaise and Sweet Chilli Sauce), Cozze Marinara (Fresh Mussels with Wine, Garlic, Cherry Tomatoes and Parsley) and Gamberoni Piccanti (King Prawns, Chilli, Garlic, White Wine and Cherry Tomatoes served with Crusty Bread).
Mains include Linguine 51 (King Prawns, Cherry Tomatoes, White Wine, Garlic, Pine Nuts, Courgette and Chilli), Grilled Sea Bass Fillet with Vegetable Risotto, Grigliata Di Pesce, (a selection of Seabass, Tuna, King Scallops, King Prawns and Langoustine, cooked to perfection with a Vapour Grill) along with King Scallops Wrapped with Speck Ham, served with Fresh Asparagus and Saffron Risotto. Pizzas include Pescatora (Prawns, Mussels, Tuna, Anchovies, Calamari, Cherry Tomatoes, Parsley and Lemon Zest) and Lionnese (Tuna, Olives and Red Onions).
Attilio added: “To complement our selection of seafood favourites, Trattoria 51 offers the ideal accompaniment in the form of refreshing fizz. Guests can enjoy an indulgent bellini or a classic Italian prosecco – perfect for Easter celebrations. With a wide range of carefully crafted cocktails and a fine selection of wines and spirits, we are sure to have something for everyone, making Trattoria 51 the ideal destination to dine and drink with family, friends and colleagues this Good Friday.”
