Following last year’s hugely successful debut event, The Wicked Whispers have announced the line up for their Butterfly’s Ball and Grasshopper’s Feast.
Last year’s sell-out event saw legendary psychedelic artist Arthur Brown heading the bill with the Whispers providing support.
The first official gig The Wicked Whispers played, the forthcoming show will round off an amazing twelve months for the group.
In the live arena in addition to two UK tours, the band played an acclaimed Liverpool Sound City show.
Debut EP The Dark Delights Of released on 10” limited edition white vinyl was released to huge praise and has become a collectors item.
EP launch nights held in London and Liverpool backed by garage rockers The Keys in The Smoke and The Wild Eyes on Merseyside garnered excellent reviews.
The video to key track Amanda Lavender has become a YouTube hit, the mysterious clip filmed out in mist shrouded Snowdonia and featuring up and coming model Charlotte Cooper.
Taking place this year in The Kazimier on December 3rd, this year the retro rockers have pulled out all the stops to secure none other than The Magic Band.
The group who backed Captain Beefheart on his ground breaking records will be making their way to Liverpool for this ultra-exclusive booking.
As curators of the night The Wicked Whispers will play before them, along with other acts handpicked by the band.
The Lucid Dream have been making a name for themselves with their aggressive psychedelia, winning new fans at Liverpool Sound City.
In keeping with the events that inspired the night, there will be a full-on lightshow, recreating the atmosphere of legendary London clubs like UFO.
Towyn Roberts, responsible for lighting tours by The Grateful Dead, The Coral and Shack will be on hand to provide the visual magic.
Edgar ‘Summertyme’ Jones will be on DJ duties for the night, spinning vintage 45s.
BBC Introducing DJ Dave Monks will compere proceedings.
