The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair is set to showcase the best of Brit art this summer. During the opening weekend of the Liverpool Biennial on 5th July, the UK’s most anticipated and exciting art fair will be in town.
With Sir Peter Blake creating exclusive print for Liverpool and Gavin Turk showcasing his special edition canvas, this event is not to be missed. This one-day event will be bringing some exciting and new artist to the city along with Liverpool’s finest. The event will be filled with fabulous entertainment, amazing food and of course high-end art bargains.
This years Liverpool fair includes artists such as: James Unsworth, Julia Vogl, Marty Thornton, Wilma ‘Surfmama” Johnson, Swifty, Scrawl Collective, Carolyn Gowdy, Alice Herick and many more fabulous artists.
The Vauxhall Art Cargo, is an exclusive customised Vauxhall Vivaro van filled with art and the material to construct each venue. This will offer the visitors the chance to participate in the fair. The event will also be celebrating Liverpool’s own artists from the likes of: Rose Smith, Kevin Hunt, Sam Venables and Emily Speed.
Along with these exciting artists the event will also feature the Go-Forth Plinths. This is a series of car and roof top commissions from: Gavin Turk himself and the Vauxhall Ampera, Julia Vogl on the Vauxhall ADAM and finally Nina Saunders on the Vauxhall Insignia. There will also be a selection of classic motors filled with art such as: Firenza, Viv and Pa Velox.
The event is filled quirky ideas, energetic artists and of course exciting art. It is a place where artist’s can relax and let their hair down to enjoy the electricity of the fair. The atmosphere is filled with cool art, creative performances, interesting visitors and amazing food and drink.
This art buying frenzy opens the chance for people to purchase exclusive art at extraordinary bargains, with sales between £10-£1,000.
