The Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart is a leader in the fashion stakes with her twist on a quintessential British design classic – the Burberry trench, with a rock flavour.
Alison put her own spin on a Burberry Prossum raffia trench coat classic, teaming it with rockstar leopard-print spray-on jeans.
Alison said: “I love Burberry coats and this one is so different to the ones I own.”
On the coat’s longevity in her rock-star wardrobe, she said: “I have a feeling that it will get better with age, like a frayed straw hat with a gothic Beetlejuice twist.”
The iconic Burberry trench coat has been given a reboot and styled out of raffia, instead of cotton and she said: “I didn’t know if the coat would hang well because it’s made of raffia but it does. It holds its shape but still has natural movement. Plus it’s comfy and light to wear.”
