The American Super Bowl is now an international event that gains more viewers from all over the world every year.

With the Seattle Seahawks taking on the Denver Broncos this weekend, it is expected to bring in an average viewership of 111 million.

Companies spend top dollar to get their adverts aired during the Super Bowl and at an average of $4 million on a simple 30 second advert, it seems no expense is spared.

Here’s a rundown of the top five Super Bowl Adverts we can expect to see this year:

Toyota: Muppets steal Terry Crews’ Highlander

Toyota have drafted in the heavies for this year’s Super Bowl commercial. Featuring Hollywood actor Terry Crews and Jim Hensons’ fuzzy little Muppets, the Japanese car maker have made a quirky campaign to launch their 2024 model of the popular Highlander SUV.

In the hilarious commercial the Crews gets car jacked by the Muppets and taken on a road trip.
Operating under the hashtag #NoRoomForBoring, Toyota released a teaser for the trailer and a long form trailer and a shorter version just for good measure.

Newcastle Brown Ale: Non Super Bowl Ad

In this genuinely hilarious advert, Anna Kendrick appears in a mock poking fun at the company for not obtaining the correct rights to the Super Bowl.

The Twilight star is hilarious poking fun at herself in this very clever campaign for the ale company.

Soda Stream: Scarlett Johansson

Soda Stream goes head to head with the soft drinks giants Coke and Pepsi in their Super Bowl ad this year.

Featuring Hollywood Starlet Scarlett Johansson, the do it yourself drinks company use her sex appeal to their advantage.

The ad became controversial when Oxfam openly damned the actress for supporting the company, which resulted in Johansson resigning from her position of Ambassador of the charity.

Audi: Doberhuahua

There was a lot of speculation surrounding Audi’s Super Bowl ad this year.

Featuring a small computer generated Chihuahua with a big cartoonish Doberman head, many believed it was going to be for a hybrid and sedan crossover.

Instead the German car company are launching a new affordable luxury car, using the Doberhuahua as a decoy.

Marvel: The Amazing Spider-man 2 (trailer of a trailer)

It would not be a Super Bowl advert list without including at least one trailer for a big blockbuster movie.

This year Marvel has released a trailer for their trailer of The Amazing Spider-man 2.

The trailer for the trailer is kept short, but they are keeping the full length under tight lock and key until the actual event – so you will have to watch to find out what happens.

They really know how to create a spectacle.

With the Super Bowl only days away the whole of the US is gearing up towards the mammoth event.

The Seattle Seahawks are set to take on the Denver Broncos this Sunday February 2.
