Shaq retires via Twitter – five reasons why he should stay in the game

Shaquille O’Neil confirmed that he will be hanging up his size 22’s for good via his Twitter account. The four time NBA Championship winning big man will always be remembered for dominating the paint for nearly two decades.

The 7″2″ friendly giant, who finished his illustrious career with Boston after suiting up for five other NBA teams, ruthlessly intimidated opponents on his way to 15 All-Star appearances, Rookie and MVP of the season awards, 14 All-NBA team selections and three Finals MVP awards.

But Diesel wasn’t all about the hardcourt. Shaq frequently dipped his giant big toe into the world of entertainment. Balancing basketball with rap albums, movie and TV appearances, Shaq Fu always had an eye on showbiz.

So with The Big Daddy having plenty of time on his hands, Purple Revolver has gone into the vault and dug up five reasons why the big man should sit back, shake off all those years of Shaq Attacks and forget about freethrows or heading down to the studio or set, and just remember the good old backboard breaking, triple double days in peace.
