Bristol will play host to the most ambitious permanent street art project ever to take place in the UK and Europe.

The world’s leading street artists will paint the facades of 10 multi-storey buildings along a major city centre street Nelson Street as part of a brand new event called See No Evil.

The See No Evil art project takes place between 13-19 August, as part of the London 2012 Festival, a Summer arts festival to celebrate the Olympic Games.

30 artists will paint the streets, led by Bristol-bred artist Inkie who inspired the event which was born last year.

Music events will complement the street art, including a free New York-style Block Party on 18 and 19 August on Nelson Street.

A visual spectacular opens the weekend on Friday 17 August, with music by musicians Adrian Utley from Portishead and Will Gregory from Goldfrapp.
