Rebecca Black isn’t going to rest on her laurels after the web storm caused by Friday – she’s making a full album.
The much-derided singer has already planned the follow-up to the internet smash single: a number called – drum roll – LOL!
Black’s going all DIY on us with a self-released single and album recorded at the unappreciated ironically titled Flying Pig Productions in Los Angeles.
And don’t you worry, the album will be hitting shelves soon.
Saving the world one mundane lyric at a time, Black has said that she’s not about to change tack now. “I like the fact I am singing like a 13-year-old girl, not trying to be anything else,” she said.
“I would consider some songs on the album teenage love songs, but I want to keep it appropriate and clean.”
And does she have any words for the haters?
“People were saying, ‘You’re the worst singer, this is the worst song’,” she added. “They criticised my voice and the lyrics. But I call them negative Nancies. They can try to rain on my parade but as far as I’m concerned they are raining on their own parade.”
So the world’s all put out of their misery; we all know which seat she’s going to sit on. Yippee do! Let’s just hope someone finds the eject button before our brains melt. At least we’re not going to forget that Friday comes after Thursday anytime soon.
If you’re one of the three people yet to suffer the excruciating torment of Friday, watch it here – at your own peril.
